A long time ago, sharks ruled the world. That is, the ocean world. They were in peace. They only look life for survival. For the sharks to live, another animal had to die. Sharks had peace until the race Homo sapiens came into existence.

　　For the Homo sapiens, more commonly called the humans, the same rule applies. For the humans to live, another animal had to die. So humans started hunting, on land, into the sky and under the waves. They blindly stumbled upon the sharks and declared war. Nature made both sides equal, but as humans evolved, technology overcame nature and humans started winning. Slowly, through the ages, from that time up to now, sharks have changed too. However, they will never lose their predatory instinct. This is their legend.

　　"How long are we going to swim?" "As far from these wretched humans as possible!" said Blunt. “You know it is just one death right?” asked Ery. The shark duo had been swimming for days in search for shelter. "One death! You call that just one death!" yelled Blunt. “She was my mate!” he screamed. “Whoa, calm down stripy.” Said Ery. “I am not a tiger Ery. I’m a tiger shark.” “Yeah ri….alert” The two sharks swiftly dodged a group of stinging jellyfish. “What did you say that for?” asked Blunt. They used alert for life threatening danger. Jellyfish were not one. “Look!” said Ery. The little mako was shaking in fear. A huge human ship pulled up over them. Suddenly the water moved around Blunt. A split second later Ery was being pulled up by a harpoon. Just like my mate, thought Blunt. I will kill every last one of them! “You must not.” “Ery?" asked Blunt. ”No it's just a ghost of myself. You must not kill them. They are part of the balance. They kill to live” “But they killed my mate,” said Blunt. “You too, have feasted on them. Some living must die for the good of the others. Don’t forget our instinct. We are both predator and prey. We must fight for honor,” declared Ery. “You are a shark. You kill others to feed yourself. Our species will survive. It must.” “Count on me, pal.” said Blunt. “The shark race will survive.”

　　Do you think this legend is true? Does it prove the predator’s instinct. Is it sharks that attack us. Or are we the ones attacking the sharks. Either way, the balance of nature will continue.
